You don’t get #spiderveins, translucent skin, #scars, and #stretchies like these from years of actually being the happy-go-lucky person you pretend to be. You get it by staying inside all day every day. You get it by eating your feels for years. You get it by hiding your jiggles (from even yourself) as an 11-year-old onward. You get it by carrying the stress a child shouldn’t have to bear. You get it by unintentionally giving into the world’s mixed messages about social and personal preference. Some of you, from maybe, possibly, or probably from genetics. Then you become an adult with different expectations and dreams: confidence.
With all the potential factors, it’s hard work to throw this decade [and more] of conditioning out the window. It’s entirely worth it.

slowly shrinking every week. finally back to my size before Milo-times, but that wasn’t the goal. Getting stronger is. Hopefully, maybe I can stay close to this cause it’s taken a lot of years of hurt, pressure, and encouragement to adjust to being jiggly and now I love it. It feels a part of me.
No matter the outcome for now; I just want to be able to live my life stronger than yesterday.

Not many would believe that the only times I’ve ever been pulled over is when my mom’s in the car. After actual decades, we’ve adjusted to joke that she’s our bad luck charm, but it’s not funny to me at all. Even if YOU believe they’re coincidences.

I was negged on the bus throughout middle school and parts of high school over the size of my thighs and butt, or was plainly called ugly or fat. Every time I called them out on it, their favorite response was “god, can’t you take a joke??” #CommutingWhileFemale (a 5th-12th grader)
Apparently, either I cannot take a joke (okay, fine) or these people don’t know comedy (might be more likely).
